That is great news!  Another advantage of spaying is that it greatly reduces the chances of her ever getting mammary cancer, which in cats is usually fatal.

You made the right decision.

Alices surgery is in a few hours .. It may sound weird but I feep that she knows something is going on , like for example today and yesterday shes meooows and I say " what is it" and look for her .. I first thought she might be stuck somewhere or hungry but when I find her shes in the middle of the hallway looking at me .. weeeird.
Anyways Im kind of scared how things would work out

It depends on where you are. I pay Japanese prices and a regular spay costs 15,000 yen. That's about $135.

If you live in a country where most things are expensive $186 isn't bad. You could Google the vet and see if he has any good or bad reviews from other patients, but if he seems like a decent doctor to you I'd go ahead with the spay.

I hope Alice recovers quickly.

Thank you everyone!!

I took alice there about half an hour ago.. There were two-for slale- kittens roaming around. They got near Alice's cage to check her out and she hissed at them!
Alice never hisses and I got a bit worried ..

she will come home at night.. how am I going to greet her .. is she going to be tired, mad, or scared??

It is always scary when someone you love is having surgery. She'll be groggy and won't move a whole lot for a few days, she may even refuse food and water for a while so now is the time to tempt her with special treats. You'll have to play it by ear, she may want your attention or she may want to hide and be left alone. I have never coned or wrapped any of my cats and they have come through fine, they'll lick the incision site a little bit and quit. I have had cats that run around like nothing has happened and then some who lay still for three days, so it depends on the cat's personality. The incision may weep a little, clear fluid mixed with a little blood, it may have a lump, that is normal from the swelling. Look for yellow or green discharge, spreading redness (there will be some redness) and extreme warmth at the site means infection. Take a picture with your phone and bring it in to the vet if you have questions. She will be so much happier now that she is spayed, her life will no longer be run by hormones. I'll pray for a speedy recovery, keep us posted!

Hello everyone
So yesterday My dad brought alice 3 hours early ,and I was a bit confused he told me that the doctor DIDNT do the surgery!!! Because apparently Alice was "TOO FAT" (shes only 2 and a half km) !! Ibopened her cage and there she was REALLY sleepy so I took her out and saw her stiched stomach[emoji]128561[/emoji]..This doctor opened her stomach, couldnt find the womb, and stuched it out!!!. Allice tried to walk but wobbled right away! I helped her but she was really in pain[emoji]128534[/emoji] .. it was heartbreaking. Then from her stiched stomach came out weird watery blood. I was really SCARED .. Alice looked like she was dying.. :( when my mom came .. She was SO shocked.. Of course we cried a bit because in thd morning Alice was jumping and having fun and now she layed helplessely on the floor. Each time I tried moving her she meowed loudly .. I then searched the web on how to take care of a cat thats been spayed( although she exactly WASNT) and took her to her little hall/like room and put her on her cat bed then I heard chocking/coughing sounds so I went to check it out. She was in her litterbox vomiting[emoji]128553[/emoji][emoji]128557[/emoji].. I slept ( while my mom checked on Wlice every once on a while .. she was sleeping) anyways till today shes really tired and wont eat).. PLEASE HELP .. Im NEVER going to this so called lair doctor AGAIN! ..he told me that he did 500 neautring/slaying surgeries. Yeah RiGhT! So why cant you find her womb!!??! I warnerd everyone that lives near with cats to not go to him EVER . Why did you open a vet clinic if you dont know HOW to be a vet .. Sorry for my long rant but PLEASE help me..

That's terrible!  Where are you located?  Maybe we can help you to find a reputable clinic.

Do you feel comfortable telling us a city you live near?  We can help you to do research.

What about the vet you have taken Alice to in the past?

EDIT: You can PM me if you'd prefer.

UPDATE
I forced Alice to lick some wet food out of my finger ( I wiped it on her tooth) whileI put her on my lap and she licked it off! And then she actualy ate abit from my hand! She finally seemed to remember the joy of eating. After that she didnt want it anymore so I took a tissue . Put some water on it and dripped a bit on her mouth because I wanted her to stay dehydrated .. She seems more awake now[emoji]128515[/emoji]

Hi @talkingpeanut
Im actualy in the Middle Wast which is quiet far away [emoji]128518[/emoji]
Anyways this doctor is actualy a new doctor ( his clinic opened about a week ago) so there was no review of his place whatsoever and his clinic seemed really clean and fancy He also reassured us that he did this surgery about 500-600 times ... so who could've thought that something like this might go the way it did. I will be taking her to another vet ( which is an hour away ) that is a professinal [emoji]128515[/emoji] thank you for your help

I'm a little late to the ballgame but here are my thoughts.

I don't think your father knows a thing about cats.  Marriage?  Cats are not monogamous, being in heat hurts female cats, sex hurts female cats bad, the description your dad gave of her being too fat for surgery as an excuse, and the encouragement to feed something non-animal.  This sounds like a recipe to kill a cat, definitely not give her a happy home.

There is no guilt like hearing your vet say that your cat got cancer from being spayed too late.  Don't set yourself up to hear those words.

Cats literally cannot digest non-animal stuff.  They can't.  A better treat would be a grilled chicken breast with no spices or part of a can of tuna.

Good luck with the cat.  I hope the next vet works out.

Thanks for the reply but I think you got a bit mixed up .. My father isnt actualy the one who said that she was too fat . It was the vet who did the surgery ..he said that he couldnt find her womb from " her fatness" ( shes not that fat BTW 2 km)
Thank you for your concern.

When can you take her to her normal vet?  I'm concerned that she needs to be checked out sooner rather than later because of what this vet did.  She needs painkillers...

And I think you should set her spay for as soon as possible too.  Maybe the vet wants to do it before she is fully healed?

I am so sorry for your kitty.  I think this doctor (Vet?) was not fully or legally licensed.  What happened with your cat SHOULD NOT have happened with a fully licensed Vet.

Just because this doctor ? says he has done this operation 500-600 times does not mean he was licensed or qualified.  You are right to warn other cat owners about him!

Meanwhile, your kitty needs a good licensed Vet right away.  Can you take her to your normal Vet?  Even if a professional Vet is an hour away, I would take her there very soon.

Your cat needs to be seen and evaluated and maybe given painkillers, IV fluids and maybe other medications.  Do not delay!
