We have a cat that has produced two embryo like objects in the past month. She is a 7 year old fixed tabby that we got from a shelter as a new born kitten. I found a picture on this site that looks a lot like the objects we found, but I don't know how to find the discussion about the picture (I got the picture from Google):

Can anyone shed some light on this? The cat is seemingly in good health and has strong appetite.

Yes we've had discussions about an object like that before. I think the general consensus was that it's the internal organs of a small prey animal that the cat ate. Did you see the cat expel the object or did you just find it on the floor?

That is a mouse fetus. Does your cat go outside or do you have mice in the basement or attic where the cat has access to?

A bit of clarification ... our cats have access to an outside patio, this is where the objects were found. The cats do not leave the patio, but other animals could feasibly get in. In the past, we've found dead birds, lizards, and even a rat once. But we've never seen these objects (see image below). Like I said, we found one a few weeks ago, the one images yesterday, and just found a 3rd this morning.

We did not see our cats expel the object, just assumed it came from one of them.

I know this is going to sound gross but I'd be carefully opening it up to see what's inside. I really like medical science stuff.
