I don't know what to do anymore. I woke up to cat pee on my feet...

We have 2 cats... I dont know who is doing this but it all started when my husband recently started working in Atlanta and is gone all week. Stressful for everyone, I know. At first one of cats started peeing on my 8 year old sons bed... I thought my son was doing it, even though he swore that the cat peed on him! A few times later that stopped... but the cat had started peeing in my husbands suitcase while he was home on the weekends. So we got rid of the suitcase. Now 3 times the pee has been on my bed, right in between me and my husband. Until an hour ago... Now the pee is on me. PLEASE GIVE ME ADVICE! My husband can't quit his job & I am exhausted from waking up in pee... Quite tired of cleaning and washing everything over and over again as well.

Have you taken the cats to the vet to clear any medical issue?

Yes, the cats are fine. One had to be treated for worms...
It has been a month. It is the change in our living that is causing this we all believe... I try to love on both cats equally until they get used to him being gone but it is happening more frequently now the more he comes home and goes back. I am truly at a loss. I think I may try cat repellant on the beds but I am afraid the cat will just start peeing in the carpet.

Do you think a cat would mark their territory like a dog would??? Like they are saying "hey man, she is ours, shoo away". Lol.

They may have developed a uti or other urinary issue from stress. They need to see a vet.

I did take them to the vet since this started... I am sorry if you missed that comment. I am new and posting to many comments at once.

Are both of your cats spayed/neutered? What did the vet check for when you brought them in?

I had this happen before with one of my cats. Basically, he was feeling left out in a sense. The other cat was the alpha and it made the peer stress out so he 'marked me' when I was sleeping one night. He also marked several cat beds, as if to say, 'alpha cat, stay away, these are mine!'

We went through a stage where we used Feliway diffusers and a calming collar. And, one of the bigs things was finding a way to give him the attention he felt he was lacking.

This may not be the case for you, but we haven't had any pee incidents in 3 years, since it all happened.

Good luck to you!

It may be due to stress. You should try the de-stressing thingy for cats. You can find it on amazon
