Awesome Movie About a Cat!!!

Hey everyone,

I recently watched A Street Cat Named Bob. It's based on the bestselling book. It's about a busker and recovering drug addict in the streets of London whose life was transformed when he met a stray cat. It's so, so good! You're gonna want to hug your furry friends after watching this. It's also based on a true story and the cat in the movie is actually Bob the real cat!  

It's not in theaters anymore but it's available for pre-order on iTunes 

It will be available on 1/17! I pre-ordered mine already. WATCH IT!  

I grabbed the book from the library about a year ago, it hasn't opened here yet. A friend in England saw it and enjoyed it.

There are clips all over youtube from people who have met Bob.

I read the book two years ago and have been anticipating the movie, but it's not showing around here. I thought it was supposed to be released in the U.S. too? Usually we get even the movies that only play in a handful of theaters, since this is New York and we get everything...but nope, can't find it anywhere.

I love the bit in the trailer when James thinks someone has broken into his apartment and he reaches for the nearest "weapon" he can find...a shoe:

I read the book a while back and it was so great!  I cried and cried too!  I truly believe cats are  in our lives not by accident.  I think I read the book in a night or two because it was so engrossing for a cat lover like me!!

When Speedy goes for walks with me on the harness in the good weather, I have tried walking around with her on my shoulder and she does quite well.  

I would like to read the book again! 

Sounds like a nice movie! I'll see if I can watch it sometime.
