My cat Moses has developed an odd spot on his nose. I found Moses abandoned and I took him in. He got neutered on December 28th and they did a very thorough exam and they said he was very healthy. He is about a year and a half old. Any ideas what the spot could be?

Looks like a little scab from the photo. My cats occasionally get scabs or scratches on their noses, probably elsewhere too but a lack of fur makes it noticeable on the nose.

If it was my cat I would try to get a closer picture and check it against the picture for the next few days. As long as it doesn't get bigger, doesn't have puss, doesn't show a spreading redness, and he doesn't show any other signs of problems it will likely heal on its own within a week or two. If it is still present in a week and hasn't improved I'd take him in to the vet for a closer look (depending on your vet you could make the appointment now so you don't have to worry about getting one).

I usually don't put anything on scratches because the cats body does a good job of healing small things on its own. You could clean it and put a tiny (teeny tiny, you want it to soak in quickly and not leave a glob that the cat might accidentally ingest if it transfers during cleaning) bit of non-medicated Neosporine on it if you want though.
