I recently came upon this thread, hoping it may be my issue, but it's different (http://www.thecatsite.com/t/332207/my-cat-refuses-to-get-along-with-another-of-our-cats)

I have searched the internet until I am wore out, and finding no answers, found your site and signed up for help. We are a several household cat home. Talyn, a black & white saddle cat was taken off the streets and homed with us 3 years ago. We had 4 other cats at the time and never had an aggression issue. Over a year ago we took in a momma and her kittens, still no aggression between Talyn and any of the other cats. Fast forward to know. Took in a male stray, now named Ghost who is so laid back, it's hard to believe he was ever a stray/feral. Vet thinks he was feral but adapted to being someone's barn cat and guesses his age around 5. Talyn is now 3.

I did the separation and proper introducing of the cats, as I always do and everything was going fine. Yes, all cats are neutered/spayed.Ghost was neutered during the separation period and then remained in the slow introductions for 2 more weeks. Never a fight between Talyn and Ghost. As i said Ghost is extremely laid back and won't fight, even when pushed...he just walks away and lays down farther away from Talyn. Talyn is the only aggressor.

What brings me to you: I use Feliway for mutli households in the rooms the cats are in. The aggression with Talyn towards Ghost has really gotten out of hand. I've also tried Spirit Essences, bully and self esteem for these two, but it never worked. I'm thinking now, Talyn is very clingy to me. He cuddles, hugs and kisses my nose. When we found him he was in bad shape, someone tried to neuter him at home like a bull. He wandered onto the property and was vetted and successfully neutered and even plastic surgery was needed. I didn't work at the time so I worked closely with him during his healing process and all cats get equal attention.

About a month after Ghost was released into the fold, Talyn started attacking him. He makes a certain sound when Ghost is close to him, no matter where they are in the house and the same if Talyn is at my feet or Ghost is there first and Talyn gets closer, Then BAM, Talyn will just haul after him. Not just swatting, he literally will take him down to the floor and Ghost will yipe. Once broken up, Ghost just walks away, and Talyn watches him like a hawk.

By the way, I am thinking this is all a jealousy thing or Talyn is being protective of me, however, he goes after Ghost in other parts of the house. I don't want a very kind, tame and quiet cat (Ghost) getting hurt or a complex or being forced to turn aggressive. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am sorry no one has replied to this!

I am boosting up, as promised via PM.

Just checking, your cats has been vetted to rule out any illnesses? They may not show it, but cats do have a knack of sensing somethings wrong with another cat.

Yes, all are vetted before introduction and through the year. Problem still exists. So I am seeking any further advice outside the Feliway, Spirit Essences, separation, cage time, water bottles...anything that will help before I am forced to consider a rehome, which I have never had to do in my 30 years of rescue.
