What is your favorite kind of sandwich?

I just had salami on rye bread with horseradish cheddar cheese.
  Dipped in vegetable soup too.
My favorite is a good grilled reuben though!!
Followed by a good grilled cheese; dipped in tomato soup!

I don't buy salami that often; but I've been sick, the kids have been sick and we've had company.  Sandwiches for lunch has just been an easy answer for the last few weeks,.  I do enjoy a good sandwich though.  I have different sandwich cravings at different times.  I usually get roast turkey or chicken and ham (I just don't like honey ham) but sometimes I get a little roast beef to have with horseradish!  Or bologna when I'm feeling nostalgic for my childhood when that was ok to eat.
Every now and then I need a good pjb or peanut butter with marshmallow fluff; but that seems more like dessert these days.  It has to be on warm toasted bread though.

Swiss cheese on whole wheat toast with lettuce, tomatoes, plenty of Vegenaise and Dijon mustard.
Like @Margd   I think I'm going to go make one right now.

Grilled cheese. Even better with bacon.

My favorite version is made with Gruyere cheese on Sourdough bread, with a spread of a Dijon mustard/mayo/chive spread on the interior.

It's pretty decadent. I don't make it often.

I eat a lot of sandwiches because it's an easy fix for lunch, but I sure do get tired of them. I don't think I have a favorite.

Would you mind making one for me too, lol?  Except I would add avocado to mine.

Ok this ranks WAY up there for me. Unfortunately, they just aren't the same outside of NOLA
You just can NOT get the same type of bread anywhere else I'm aware of.

I love a good reuben sandwich. Not every day, obviously... I like crunchy peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwiches and crunchy peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

I love a good grilled cheese with turkey and tomato. So good my mom makes the best! I'm not too picky but a sandwich that isn't peanut butter and jelly... and has meat it must have cheese! And bread matters. Safeway stopped carrying my favorite nut and seed bread though. :(

If I am really hungry an old fashioned club sandwich, the one that is like a turkey sandwich and a BLT together on toast.  Many years ago when a group of us would go out drinking we would stop at Denny's in the wee hours of the morning.  Everyone else would get breakfast and I would get a club sandwich.

That's funny, I was thinking of asking this Q for tomorrow's question of the day

Now that's done...

- BLT

- Hungarian, Prosciutto or German Salami with cheese.

- A well made croques monsieur

I am really not much of a sandwich person at all, but those will get my mouth mojo going.

I'm on team BLT also.

I also like a tomato sandwich. Soft white bread, ripe tomato slices, mayo, salt & pepper. It is goon on rye or pumpernickel too though. So simple yet it is SO good. Some people like it with Miracle Whip but I can't stand that stuff.

Great minds think alike?

Oh I love a good tomato sandwich! (No miracle whip; that stuff tastes rancid to me...)  It has to be a good garden fresh tomato.

I like Margd sandwich. crunchy bacon, toasted bread. tons of mayo. and tomato and lettuce. the summertime is when we eat these nightly. just too hot for anything else. nuke the bacon, toast the bread and assemble. voila!
BLTs always make me think of summer dinners at my Grandparents. Gram would cook the bacon in the basement and we'd sit in the family room down there with TV trays and eat in front of the tv. (Normally we ate in the dining room there; but there was no AC in their house.)

I like grilled or rotisserie chicken slices with mayo, lettuce, salt and pepper and cranberry sauce.

My favorites are a reuben, grilled cheese or an Italian grinder. I usually have turkey or grilled chicken though.
