My Cat, Pounce, has travelled with me on the Truck since she was a kitten. Over time we have had many adventures, of course - which I have written up as they occurred, in e-mails and other forums. Having found this forum now, I'll share some of our best with you here.

Wile Coyote's Law Of Gravity.
You know the classic scenes in the old Roadrunner cartoons, where Wile Coyote runs past the edge of a cliff into open air, but never falls until he looks down? We found out one night that that happens in real life....
I was laying in the sleeper, and had Pounce chasing a Laser-Pointer dot. She'd stay right with it, straight up the walls, and turn at midstream right back down the wall. I decided to see if she would follow it on out across the roof, inverted - but didn't stop to think that, while the walls are fabric, the roof pan is hard plastic.......
Up the wall with the laser dot - cat in hot pursuit - on out across the roof - sudden click-click of claws on the plastic......oops - too late.
About halfway across the roof, she suddenly stops - seems like she just hangs there for a few seconds, inverted, her paws floating about three inches from the roof, as she rotated her head 180 degrees to give me a very wide-eyed stare......"MEEEOOOWWW!!!"....... then, as it does with Wile Coyote, GRAVITY kicked in!
Naturally, during the fall, she righted herself and got all 18 claws fully extended - landing on ME, of course! Most of the paws got my leg, but one centered me (well, let's just say it got my attention), just as she instinctively curled her claws on impact. I let out a good "YEOWWW!" myself!
We promptly got rid of the Laser Pointer......
