Hi all,

My little fur boy is 7.5 months old now and doing so well! However i have noticed over the last few weeks on certain days he goes really sleepy and quiet and then it seems hes lost another tooth an he licks his gum an swollows a few times then is ok. Is this normal? Last night bless him he nearly choked on one. He was asleep by me on the bed when he started coughing an spluttering an slobber hit my arm then he swollowed a few times, coughed a bit then was ok an he must be loosing another one today as hes been really sleepy an quiet. I feel so sorry for him [emoji]128528[/emoji][emoji]128532[/emoji] reassurance and advice would be great xxx

Have you tried to quickly peek inside his mouth for signs of healthy teeth formation?  While he is at the age where his permanent teeth should all be in, you want to make sure his teeth formation is normal (sometimes overcrowding can cause problems, and some cats have stomatitis, a difficult oral condition to treat).  If he isn't eating well by morning, please make an appointment first thing in the morning to be seen.  Hopefully he's a normal little boy and teeth are fine, but you want to be sure.
