Just my small contribution, but the Humane Society offered free Spay/Neuter voucher for seniors in my area that were good for the last two weeks. I recruited my mom and she got help from several of her friends and we got a total of five vouchers. I was able to rent traps from the Humane Society and have trapped three feral female kittens that were in the barn next to where I work and two feral tomcats. I trapped the last tomcat today--he's blind in one eye because of all the fights he gets into. One of the kittens has let me get close to her and I've decided to keep her at home with my six other cats. The others I'll have to return to the barn here at work after they've recouperated, but I've been feeding them anyway and they have protection from the weather. Maybe five isn't such a great number and I wish I could have been able to find the mother of the kittens, but I'm just so delighted that these animals have had their shots and won't be able to have any more uncared for kittens.

Just had to share my success with you all, and give thanks to the help from my mom and her friends and the vet who is letting me go under all these "assumed names!!!"

That is wonderful that you took the time out to help in this way. Kudos to the vets who are closing their eyes at the multiple ferals that are being brought in by one person.

Five IS a great number, when otherwise these five would be breeding more unwanted kitties! BRAVO to you. Great work, and DO give yourself the credit that you deserve!
