Since I've gotten my cat spooky I've been feeding him meow mix and friskies wet food, but when I took him to the vet, she urged me to ween him off. He can't get enough of it though! What would be a good alternative to get him instead of that, that's healthier and he'd enjoy the same? My vet recommended purina for the dry food, but I also need more suggestions for wet and dry

Everybody has a different opinion, and a lot depends on what you can get/afford. You might find these articles helpful:

Sometimes I feel like vets aren't paying attention. . .Friskies is made by Purina :D. The pate varieties of Friskies aren't bad.

For a dry food, look for one with a lot of meat ingredients, at the very least the first ingredient should be meat. There are a lot of really high-quality kibbles you can get, but if budget is a problem or you really want to stick with Purina, Pro Plan and Purina ONE aren't too bad. Pro Plan is very expensive if you buy it at a pet store, though, online the prices are better.
