Hi everyone



When do you usually take down your Christmas decorations ? Tree, cards etc ..




This year I took mine down on the 2nd Jan. I always wait till after the New Year, but I do know some people who take them down the day after Christmas. But I also know other people who don't take them down till the 6th Jan ( the twelfth night ) as they consider it bad luck if done before or after this date.

I don't put decorations up. What does not go up does not need to come down. 

They usually dwindle after New Year's, but the tree remains until the 6th

The only Christmas stuff I have are my Christmas cards and I recycle them usually the day after Christmas.

I usually wait till after the 6th; but if DD's birthday party falls early in January I need to get moving on it before then.  My Godson's birthday is 2 days after DD's so we plan parties around each other.  They are going first this year so I get some extra time.  

I didn't fully decorate this year; so I'm hoping putting everything away goes quicker this year.

We took everything but snowmen and snowflake stuff down this past Monday while we were both off for the New Year holiday. It seems strange to see the living room and kitchen so bare. There's quite a bit more room in the living room now, though without the tree.

I actually saw a discarded Xmas tree on the sidewalk a week BEFORE Xmas.
