Here's an oddball question:

Do you have a LEAST favorite color?

Mine is orange.  I actually like burnt oranges and cinnamon and spice colors, but I just don't like ORANGE very much at all for some reason,

This is kind of hard to answer because in general I love color!  It just depends where it is.

I guess my least favorite is a light mustard yellow.  It's not quite tan or beige and not quite yellow. Especially when it's used in clothing. For some reason it always reminds me of sickness or nausea.  It probably has some green in it.

I hate extremely bright yellows, and very yellow-tinted oranges, in large amounts. Safety vest and school bus colors are what I'm thinking of.

I hate orange too. I'm also not a fan of yellows that are not pastel. I also can't stand most shades of brown and brownish-green.

Another hater of bright orange here. Peach, apricot or pumpkin are fine, but if anything's the color of an actual orange I'll avoid it.

I can't stand yellow either. It looks awful on me. I'm so pale and anything yellow makes me look totally washed out.

I tend to look at colors to think about how they would look on me. While I do like the color yellow, it makes me look sallow if I wear it.

No orange, no watermelon or salmon-type colors either. I really don't like salmon....beautiful on the fish though!
No pink (other than on my fingernails from time to time).

We had a burnt-orange kitchen with white cabinets in one of the houses we lived in. That was gorgeous. It had a southern exposure and when the sun hit the kitchen, the entire kitchen lit up. Simply brilliant. I loved that kitchen. I also liked the bathroom in that house; it was lilac; even the tub, sink and toilet were lilac. With white cabinets and trim. It was beautiful. Actually, I have to say that I really loved that house.

Sky blue, tying in first place with Navy blue. In fact, I'm not a fan of blue in general, unless it's a turquoise blue. (Emerald green is my favorite color, which is probably the most flattering shade on me. I have red hair and green eyes.)

I was a fat kid. Mom made me wear Navy blue because she thought it was slimming. And I just don't like sky blue for some unknown reason, though I think it was Mom's favorite color.

Another yellow here - I've never really cared for it.  Also not a fan of brown, my kids used to tell me it reminded them of poop.

Just in general, or for wearing? I can't wear any kind of orange or yellow, and only very blue-ish greens. The effect is really very dramatic---I'll be shopping with a friend and say "I can't wear yellow or orange or green", she'll ask "why not?" so I'll hold my hand up to one of those colors and she'll say "oh, I see what you mean" :lol3:.

But I've always liked a nice sunny yellow in general. When I was little my favorite color was yellow, and I painted my kitchen yellow. I guess in general I don't like muddy colors. Like mustard yellow or army green or brown-ish orange. And if I had to pick the least likely color for me to use for anything, it would be orange. I can't imagine having any orange decorations or paint or furniture or anything. But I like oranges :D.

Funny story about orange---when my brother was little, he liked to say orange. That wasn't his favorite color (red), he just liked to say it. So if you asked him what color balloon he wanted, he would say orange. . .but then he would get mad if you gave him an orange one. Yelling "no, orange!" while pointing at a red one, lol. It took a little while for my mom to catch on.

...with the cats...
i guess i'd have to agree with orange being at least one of the colors i avoid with my clothing. but honestly, i buy clothing in colors that can be washed together in cool/cold water.
so for me, i don't buy clothing, towels, or bedding that might 'bleed' when laundering them -- like red, black, orange, or multi-colored items with bright colors.

that said, i do love orange chrysanthemums, especially when paired with yellow ones -- lovely fall colors, on fall-blooming plants!

so......maybe i really like all the different colors, but on particular things...or, not on everything...

I see a lot of clothes in a really beautiful shade of green these days. This is the closest I could find.

It looks stunning on Japanese women, particularly if they have natural black hair. I've tried on clothes in this colour a couple of times and it looks dreadful on me.

Such a shame, because I really like this shade of green.

I am not fond of pink.  My mother thought I looked adorable in it and so my clothes were pink and even my room was painted pink.     Meanwhile, my older sister got a monopoly on the color blue, which I really liked.  For a  long time, I didn't like orange and yellow either,  until I started noticing people who looked fabulous in them.

Red state blues.
Honestly, I've never seen a color I hated, in the right context.  Something that would be awful for a dress or a living room wall might be lovely in a forest.

Bright yellow for me.

I don't mind it for flowers, but I NEVER would wear it and wouldn't buy it for anything home related.
