So we finally made it through it. Zoe was one angry little girl when I brought her home yesterday. I've got her upstairs in the spare bedroom, away from Lily. Today she is doing pretty good, I can't keep the cone on her,she keeps taking it off.I called the vet and told them that she  wont wear it, and they simply told me to put it back on her. I get that. But she wont wear it. Apparently she has internal stitches and external sutures that dissolve. I'm trying my best to keep her from licking but she is quick.Any ideas? She;s eating pretty well, and peeing fine. She hasn't pooped yet. She was shivering a little awhile ago but I read that is pretty normal after they had surgery. I don't know if she has any pain. I gave her her pain meds last night at midnight, and its every 24 hours so gotta wait till late tonight again to give it again.

I also just tried the onesie on her, and she was out of in less than 5 minutes

Lily is thorougly enjoying her break from Zoe. She's acting like her old self again actually, lol,go figure.I bought the feliway comfort zone for multiple cats and have that plugged in and ready for when I let Zoe back out of this room in a few days. Anyone that has read my threads, knows that I've been hoping and waiting for when Zoe gets spayed this will help thier relationship.

Here is Zoe just a few hours ago.

Lily enjoying the peace and quiet.

Just leave the cone off.  If you notice the incision is weeping or angry red, then put it back on and get her back to the vet. I've had several girls spayed and none came home with pain meds or a cone and they did just fine. I also only isolate until the effects of the anesthesia wear off, so usually overnight.
