I don't know that I could do that!

Oh no to the water pipe! Glad it was something that was kind of easy to fix, but still....and moving the cat food probably wasn't easy.
Luckily enough it was all canned food so salvageable. I'm so ready for spring to come now.

90 minutes of yoga and a 90 minute walk yesterday. The weather was miserable, but I haven't been out for a walk for a few days so I was determined to go.

An our of yoga after work today.

I'm glad you were able to get it cleaned up.

Friday -

4 miles on the treadmill

8 of 9 hours with 300+ steps

I am not hitting the treadmill this morning. I'll work to get 10,000 steps today, but that's it.

90 minutes of yoga Sunday and Monday. I was hoping to get out for a walk this afternoon, but the rain is coming down sideways.

I've been getting a bit bored of my usual yoga routine, so I've been trying different routines off You Tube. This is one of the routines I did today.

It's called The Hips Don't Lie. They do, however, scream in protest.

It's a tough one. Some of the poses are beyond me. I don't think I will be able to do Royal Pigeon in this life time, no matter how much I practice.

It's a good routine though. By the end of it you feel like your body is melting.

forgot to post Thurday night. 35 minutes on bike and 35 min on elliptical. just going slow. no sprinting. So far most of my foot pain is from these workboots too tight-still waiting for new boots in the mail. the sneakers Brooks worked ok on the bike-I only had the tension on slight- so  I didn't notice too much discomfort. I wore the thinnest socks I have..still waiting for new work boots to arrive. I didn't have wheels to get to the gym this weekend and I was a slouch. Today I don't have wheels either-rode in with a neighbor to work- bearing went bad on the left front tire..making a racket on way home Thurs night-thought I had a flat tire and was just going to drive on the rim but turned out no flat tire when I got out to look...scared the daylights out of me...hopefully Tues night back to gym

I finished my first week of core de force and started on my second week today. Today's first workout was called mma shred and second was core kinetics. Some of these are tough but I like it.

90 minutes of yoga on Monday and Tuesday. 90 minutes of yoga and 30 minutes on my bike today.

It's starting to feel a little bit warmer here. How about your area @Winchester  ? Is it still freezing?

No!
We have been in the 50s and 60s! It's wonderful, Norachan! Just wonderful. Not to last though; the local weather weenies were saying that we are to get back to normal temps (mid to upper 30s) come the weekend. Meanwhile, today, I'm planning my lunch walk in a heavy sweatshirt. No coat!

Monday -

4 miles on the treadmill

9 of 9 hours with 300+ steps

Tuesday -

4 miles on the treadmill

9 of 9 hours with 300+ steps

I am really trying to push extra steps here and there. If I look at my Blaze and see 11,241 steps, for example, I walk around the house til I get to 11,300 steps. And so on. Trying to get to the point where I can easily get to 20,000 steps most days. Some days, it's easy. Some days, not so much, esp if I'm feeling lazy. On work days, it's easier because I do the treadmill and my lunch walk....those can give me about 15 - 16,000 steps.

It helps that I've finally figured out how to get the Blaze to track better than it did. And now it's a challenge....can I do better today than I did yesterday? How many floors can I get today? On Monday, I had 30 floors because of constantly going down to the basement with stuff. It all adds up. And I can really say that I'm liking the Blaze because it's really keeping me motivated. The Flex did, too, but I also like that I can monitor heart rate on the Blaze; it seems to do fairly well. When I had the stress test, one of the women said that, at my age, my resting HR should be between 50 and 70 and it's in the mid-50s. So that's good.

Good work, everybody! Let's keep going!

Isn't it great? We had heavy rain yesterday and then it was up as high as 15C today. The snow has all gone!

I did 90 minutes yoga this morning, then a 90 minute walk this afternoon. It was a very muddy walk, but I'd rather be walking in mud than snow.

Good job with all those extra steps, it's nice that it's paying off.

I think we've all done really well to keep going all winter. It's been so tempting to lie on the sofa with a movie and a big bowl of stodge, but we kept going.

Congratulations all of us!

You are right! Everybody has done a great job keeping up with everything we're all doing. It's all been good. (But I'm still worried about JTbo; I really wish he'd check in).

I love the weather right now.

Wednesday -

forgot to post Tuesday night gym 15 min on bike going fast as I can for 45 seconds then 15 sec regular, elliptical 40 min 2.6 miles-no sprints. new sneakers seem to be working ok as long as I wear thin socks.

Got my new boots=WAY TOO BIG! I have to send them back and try 7 3E. They were an inch too long! and twice as heavy as my girly boots!

I also did some arm machines/weights/ abs and back extention thingy. Did a good amount of weights on arms. I am pleasantly surprised about how far I have come!

Good Job everyone!

found this video-this was sent to our work email from some group that sends out fitness stuff.  I will try to do this tomorrow..lots of interesting things to do while seated.

Seated workout-chair friendly workout

Lunchtime took my shoes off and put a towel down and jogged for 25 minutes. Feels good to move! I miss it! Foot slightly discomfort but manageable. Miss the heavy workouts I used to do. Hate babying the body!

@Norachan, that's not funny. I'd be peeved about the snow, too. We will be in the 70s for today yet.

Keep going, kids!

9 of 9 hours with 300+ steps

messed around with Jon's weights last night-he got a set of those dial a weight thingies=can't remember the name of them. 40 minutes of various arm exercises. I didn't go to the gym because it was so nice out and I had to wait for a ride for my truck. The cat didn't want to go out when I got home-it was already chilly. Did 5 minutes of boxing too. it was almost 8 when I finished up=didn't want to stay up too late.

Oh yuck. It's warm and rainy here but I'm sure winter isn't over yet.
I'm so ready for spring time! Even warm and rainy would do.

90 minutes walk and one hour of Vinyassa Flow Yoga today.

3.5 miles walked during lunch

8 of 9 hours with 300+ steps (from 4 to 5 pm, I was in the car, driving to the garage to pick up Clarence from his inspection....I knew I wouldn't get the steps in. I made it up when I got back home, but I know it doesn't count....darn it)

gym last night wearing my brooks sneakers-they seem to be holding out ok. bike for 20 minutes, ellipt for 40 min, then a few ab machines, and lat pull down then stretches. not bad. my feet still ache on the bike=I try like heck to stop curling my toes over to pedal but it's hard. wish the pedal bottoms were the shape of my foot bottom-wonder if that would stop it. if not for the foot issue I could have gone farther. long weekend working so won't hit gym till Monday probably. tomorrow after work maybe. depends on if I get enough sleep.

I took today as a rest day. I've been working out doing my core de force workouts for 12 days straight and I needed to take a break. It's supposed to be 30 days but I had to take a day off. Back to it tomorrow.
