Hello all! Just had to share. Our cat Boo is a great obsessed cat. She will run to the room where she gets treats any time we walk in that direction. She gets treats when we feed our turtles so she's kinda on a treat schedule. Anyway, when we get ready to give her treats her tail stands straight up and shakes. We know that is her showing contentment and maybe excitement. But what she also does is puff our her hair on her back and her tail gets super fat. Does anyone else's cats do this when they are excited? It's super cute and funny and then when she gets her treats, her fur goes back to normal.

Yup, my cat Bodhi does that sometimes. The hair on his back doesn't really stand up but his tail puffs out and shakes. He does it in the morning while I'm putting food in his bowl and sometimes when you're down on the floor playing with him. If he sees you going to the refrigerator he also does it sometimes. I've noticed that he also does it if someone new comes to the house. It's like he gets so excited he can't contain himself.
