Okay, so I have two cats. One is six years old who I have had since she was 4 weeks old. The other I got of November 2015 when he was 9 months old at the local pound. The (not so) kitten, i'm worried about. He is skittish which is to be expected and he doesn't handle change well but he is acting way off. When I got home from work tonight I went into my room where my cats were shut in and he suddenly runs out, rubbing on my legs and yowling. He doesn't usually yowl. He was acting completly freaked out but my older girl seemed just fine. He started clawing at the bathroom door to be let in and so I opened it and he just yowled and went into the corner of the bathroom and seemed to be hiding. So I ended up picking him up and taking him out and he started squirming and clawing to get down (This is highly weird because he's always very loving). So I let him down and he wondered out towards the kitchen still looking for a place to hide and yowling and meowing the whole time. He went to another door that was shut and yowled and clawed at the door. I opened the door, he explored, and eventually he stopped meowing but kept walking around as if the place was new to him (which it's not). So later that night I gather up my two cats and go to my room to go sleep (they always sleep in my room at night). He flips out again, trying to run out of the room and clawing at the door. Eventually he settles, it's now 2am and every 30 minutes it's like he forgets where he is all over again and starts yowling and wondering the room and clawing at the door and window. He's never done this and it scares me! I'm planning on taking him to the vet asap tomorrow but I was hoping I could get a little bit of an explanation before that (since he's keeping me up anyways) Thank you!
Also, he is fixed and my other cat is acting normal, it's only him.
