I had to take monkey to a neurologist and he said he thinks she has a severe inner ear infection. He can't tell without a CT scan but he was going over all of her medical records from my vet and using his best judgement. He wants us to treat with steroids and an antibiotic for 12 weeks. Currently we are using clindamycin but I fear she's building up a tolerance to it and I want to know if anyone else has had this issue and what they have given their cats. She's been on and off the clindamycin for a couple months and the neurologist said this could happen because we kept stopping treatment too early and starting over again. I would like to know what to ask my vet about because the neurologist has my vet doing the treatments and my usual vet left this office for another practice so I'll be dealing with a new guy.

Did they recommend any ear drops to treat it?  Why do you think she's developed an immunity to the clindamycin? I would ask the vet what other medication might treat it effectively.
