...I never know what to call those things but either way I have 2 new semi feral 5 month old kittens that need a scratching post & a place to get up & away from our (thankfully good with animals but still a toddler) 17 month old daughter.

Any suggestions? I am definitely only interested in purchasing from Amazon

Any models y'all like or things you would stay away from? I need to keep in under $120 (the less expensive the better)
I like this one, it is 6'1" but I I'm unsure about the platforms on top since they don't have any room and it seems awfully easy to fall off mid slumber

Also please help me name her...

2 cats won't do much destruction. Sisal is great if it comes off easy to replace.

The one I got is very similar to the one you have in your message. I ended up making the top platform larger. My cat still slept on it when it was smaller but it just freaked me out seeing him fit himself on it so I enlarged it a few inches. The fabric has held up pretty good on it...but I have notice the fabric isn't like carpeting....my cats claws don't really grip into it. So a different fabric might work better for younger climbing cats. If your cats like being up high they will love one that tall though. My cat jumped from a chair that's about 5 feet away to the top shelf one time and I just about had a heart attack. He's always up on the platforms watching birds through the window.
