Oddly enough google has failed me here, not really giving much useful info.
Snickers was VERY vocal on the ride home from the shelter, but a few days ago she lost her voice and was sneezing for a few days. I've been feeding her what they gave her at the shelter, with a little cooked turkey, chicken or ground beef here and there. She has stopped sneezing, but still doesn't meow. For example, if I go in my office for an hour or two, when I come back down she'll look up at me and open her mouth but barely any sound comes out.
She has been eating less, so I suspect a sore throat, but no clue as to the cause. I do have a wood stove, so maybe some soot got to her?
It's super cold out here, so not sure I want to risk transporting her to the vet till later this week when temperatures are better, but in the meanwhile I'm wondering if anyone knows of any home remedies that would help.
