Just wondering what is normal to see after a tooth has been removed from a cat. Particularly an upper canine tooth. If you see my latest post you will understand why I'm asking. I'm hoping this question here will draw in some more answers, without influencing them first.

Now that's it's a regular work day again (I'm guessing that's TRUE in Canada as well), can you convince your parents to take your cat in the be seen by the Vet who pilled his teeth, or at the very minimum, CALL them and disucss what is happening.  I fear your poor little guy is in quite a bit of pain from your description in your other post, and thinks just didn't sound too good.

Hopefully things have already been tended to

Unfortunately in Canada boxing day is a holiday. The doctor that performed the extraction is not open until Wednesday. There is a local vet open tommorow and i will be calling first thing in the morning. My parents have agreed to take him in tommorow. For now he is eating and drinking and going to the washroom normally. I have been monitoring his temperature axillary for signs of fever. Looking at his gums today it does not look as bad as before. It is more of a grey healing tissue now and not so much black tissue. I think the pain is coming from his lower canine rubbing against the area. He has one more dose of pain meds for tonight and then I will be bringing him in in the morning.
