For the holidays, I am visiting my family and chose to bring my kitten along with me rather than board her. I thought it would be far less traumatic. My parents have two cats. We introduced them over a couple of days and she has separate food/water and litter box. They is some discontent, but not overly so. She was normally very sweet and playful. However, in her new surroundings with the two new cats she is growling often. Normally, she could be picked up for cuddles all the time, but she is growling and being aggresive now when picked up outside my room. I assume this is because she does not feel safe in her new surroundings. Is there any way to help her adjust and be less aggressive?

As you say, she feels unsecure, isnt sure of what is played...  Talk much to her in calm, friendly tone. Make friendly sounds.  Perhaps play calming relaxing music on.   If you have access to a Feliway adapter or spray, it may help.

But for the time  being, have her in your room, by all means.  As she seems to be more comfortable in there, as you hint.   And let her search out the other rooms in her own pace.

She wont get hurt by being in your room, esp if its her comfortable zone.    Of course, have her litter and food and a scratching post also in there - food, water, litter in three different corners.
