I have tried Nordic Naturals which claims to be flavorless, but Enzo won't eat his food when it's added so I doubt the truthfulness of that claim.

I found one on Amazon that claims to be flavorless, but the company has no website and there aren't many recent reviews for the product so I'm wary to try it.

Does anyone know of a flavorless odorless omega 3 fish oil supplement? I don't want to use plant based if I can help it. I have tried the Nordic naturals in several types of wet food and he won't touch it. I don't want to stress him out by squirting it into his mouth everyday.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!

Thanks, I think it's flavored though. It doesn't say anything about being flavorless.

Otherwise canola oil is decently neutral in taste.  Or at least, the swedish equivalent of  rapeseed oil.  Use preferably a coldpressed one, organic style.  It contains quite a lof of Omega 3 oils and E-vitamines.

Its plant based which you prefer not to use, but still - its good.

Cheap, warmpressed plant oils arent as good, and I dont recommend them.

Okay great, I will look into the canola oil. Just in case anyone else is thinking about Nordic naturals, I had (made!) my husband try a drop and it is indeed not flavorless. I plan on contacting them regarding this claim. Thank you again!

Omega QD which is a sardine and anchovy powder. Psycho would not touch his food with the oils on it but he can t even tell with this powder. I ve seen a big difference in him since I started this in July. He stopped scratching, the hair on his ears grew back and he is just peppier. Great stuff. Developed by a vet in Georgia and you buy it on line.

Excellent, thanks so much! I have been using the Wysong omega 3 that he eats with no trouble but I would prefer a pure fish based one. I will definitely check it out. Thank you!

Hi there! I did try the QD, but he wouldn't eat his food. I followed instructions to reduce the fish smell by refrigerating it, but he still wouldn't touch it. I'm wondering if the fish based omegas such as this are altering his food to taste radically different (he eats a limited ingredient turkey by Merrick). I have been giving him the Wysong omegas, and even though it may not be as effective as the fish based I'm hoping something is better than nothing. I can't find a fish based one with no flavor or smell and I don't think he'll eat his food with a flavored one in it as I've tried several. Thank you so much for the suggestion! I was sorry it didn't work out it seems like a great product.

I know they can be quite finicky. It took a while for Psycho to take to it and I use less than the recommended dose but he eats fine now. I think whatever you are giving him is fine and will do good for him. Thank you for replying.

I really appreciate you following up! I should've updated the post. After I responded I checked the ingredients on the Wysong Omega Spectrum I am giving him (it's a powder, 1 tsp per day) and fish oil actually is listed as an ingredient, but not the primary one. I'm not sure if it's related but since he's been taking it his hair has started filling in bear his ears where it had been a little thin. So hopefully it's doing something! Thank you so much again!
