Hi everyone, I have 3 and 1/2 month Balinese kitten.
I got him just under months. He has me worried as I think he is sick all symptoms are minor and would like opinions. I have already taken to vet and booking in again in two days time.
Since we have had him he pees a lot. Poop is less and on a good day twice. But often it is just once a reasonable size holds shape but not hard. He has always meowed before peing and we put this down to the litter he was prong in the led at the time and the vet said this was either teritorial ( he has bonded better with me than my partner) or could be the place of the litter. Checked for uti and was cleared.
I have two large litter boxes one is max rice and the other is a mixture of max and breaders own. Over time the breaders own, ratio is being increased slowly. He takes it in turns of what litter he favours; no stand out winner yet.
We have him in a spare room one litter in a raised semi closed of cabinet and the other on the floor in the open. Originally we had a mattress on the floor and sleeping there at night. But we moved in to our bedroom once the peing on the bed would stopped and. He has been alone at night for two weeks with no litter incident or crying at night. Good little boy.
His bowl movements have been decreasing over the last couple of days smaller and harder. I am adding water to his wet food and this is not helping. He is peing a lot more. 10 times per day. And usually when I am near by. He is eating normally and is playful and active when I am around. Sleeps all day with intermittent plays 10-20 min. (I have a camera).
He has been sneezing a lot and seams to happen more when near litter. No mucs discharge. Sneezing is less now about once per hour. I clean the letter regularly OCD on my end and make sure I get all of the broken down powder. Vaccine the room once per day min and no chemicals in room.
Any thoughts on what we could be dealing with would be great. Thanks is advance.

Ps
. Meet Hugo. (Short for kutie Hugo Boss

What a sweet little guy Hugo is,
especially those paw which are more like hands than paws.

First question that comes to me is the type of litter - if it is scented, and if it has dust.  He may not like the scent, and might also be finding scent and or dust are bothering him and causing the sneezing?    I'm glad you are making sure he is checked over with the vet.

As to the excess peeing, since you are adding extra water to his wet food, that would make him go more, don't you think?

I would say his bowel movements are related to whatever you are feeding him.  Wet food is good.  What kind of wet food is it?  Does it have much fiber in it?

Hi thanks for your reply.
The litter is Max's cat litter it's made from rice huls. All natural and non scented. It's not as dusty as some litters but the urine breaks down into powder. It is what the breeder used. I tried him on cardboard pellets but he wanted to eat it. Because of the power I scoop very often 3-4 times daily and when I see him pee I'll get as much out before it breaks down.
The vet wasn't concerned . Was happy I had a list. Sneezing is apparently common during growth periods esp with breeds with a long face/nose. Eye normal. In the morning before vet he had a normal stool and has ever since. Yay [emoji]128522[/emoji]
I did notice some clear red discharge on his anus this afternoon. Poo was normal med brown and no straining before hand. I'll call the vet in the morning [emoji]128542[/emoji]. I took pictures but don't think I should post as not exactly family friendly.
He is still very playful and loving. He is teething and one of his baby teeth is broken causing horrendous breath but again vet isn't concerned.

Do I need to be weary of infection with the broken baby tooth?

He is going to be a big kitty. He is already just shy of 2kg.

I only feed him 'royal cainin kitten' both wet and dry food. It is premium cat food and fiber is 1.8% dry and 0.6 wet.

I never see him drink water so worried that he is isn't getting enough. But now his stool is normal except for the discharge now. I will reduce.

The poor little guy. I have so much love for him I want him to be okay.

If the Vet isn't concerned about that broken baby tooth, then I don't think there's any reason to worry about infection.  It must be broken above the gumline.  Hopefully it'll fall out soon. You'll probably never even know as I'm guessing he'll just swallow it.  Kitten's who're teething usually have bad breath.

As to that discharge at his backend, what did the Vet say about that.  Hoping it's nothing.  Probably isn't anything to worry about.

Don't worry about posting pictures.  You'd be surprised at what get's posted.  We've seen it all, pretty much.  Sometimes we even ASK for pictures, because they're needed to see what's happening in some cases.  And we often have frank discussions about poop (the cats'

Vet wasn't concerned and asked me to monitor stools. Nothing abnormal and has been acting normal all week. Thankfully [emoji]128517[/emoji].
A bit of eye gunk this morning yellow green colour and took straight to vet. conjunctivitis in one eye topical ointment applied but thinks all is fine.
Seams to be one thing after another with this little guy.
Thankfully nothing serious. But has me stressing constantly.
Thanks for all the replies. My other cats never had anything like this. ( apart from accidental poisoning from flea treatment ) they were very healthy kitties.

Thank you for letting us know how he's doing.   I reckon maybe he's a bit like Mouse:  as well as being ridiculous and accident prone as a kitten he seemed to be constantly under the weather with something, whether it was his mouth and throat, or his eyes, sneezing and coughing....   It was like his immune system was under pressure as he was growing so fast but once growing settled down and he was a bit calmer at 18 months his health settled too. He's been fine since then.   I think that happens for a lot of young cats.  Hopefully Hugo's system will toughen up very soon and you can start to spend a little less time with your vet.
