I was outside earlier and heard a kitten meowing incessantly. I assumed it was one of mine as my cat, Darling, had a litter about 2 months ago. I sent my daughter to let it in from the garage. Anyway, low and behold, it is a new kitten in my garage, about the same age as the others, and I have no idea how it got there or where it came from! It appears to be healthy, just a little skinny, and I've already checked with the neighbors and it's not theirs. I plan to care for it and find it a home. I guess my question is has anyone else had this happen and how far can a 8-10 week old kitten travel? Do you think someone dumped him, or just coincidence? And how did he get in my garage?! I checked for holes and didn't find any lol!

Kittens often hitch a ride on the undercarriage of cars. They can even climb up inside the engine. If your car was parked outside somewhere and you drove home and parked in the garage the kitten could have easily hitched a ride.

They get in anywhere. We were at a friends house when the UPS truck pulled up. He lifted to door and out jumped a yellow kitten! Since my friend is not a cat person I took her home. The driver said this was not uncommon in the world of UPS.
Now we have Molly

Does your mama kitty go outside?  The kitten may have been lost and she brought him home.  One never knows.  This is why is is such a good idea to spay and neuter.  So many, many cats out there with no one to care for them.

Who knows?  The word on the (cat) street may be that your home is where they'll get some help.  I swear there is an invisible sign outside my house!

I'm glad he found a home where he will be cared for.
