No.

Have you ever had rabies shots? I did as a child with a needle that was 2 feet long.  Or so it seemed.

Oh yes indeed.  We mow 4 acres about every week during the warm months!

Have you ever used a weed eater?

Oh yes.

Have you ever used a chipper shredder for leaves, branches, etc? I have, but wear ear protection . . . .

Yes, but most we till into teh garden.

Have you ever erected a block stone wall?
Oh yes. Once, which was plenty. The really fun part was installing rebar to lessen earthquake damage.

Ever re-roof a house? I'm about to. Fun fun fun.

No, but my husband has, him and his brother and it was a nightmare, and mess everywhere.  I said we would never, ever do it again, will gladly pay someone else to do it

Ever hang sheetrock?  I did, and it was a crazy mess when we started sanding!!

Oh, yes. Trick is to use as little mud as possible. Easier said than done . . .

Ever take down a big tree? I've done several. Always use a "come-along." That ensures it falls where you want it to.

My husband has taken down many, even between houses, he puta can where he said it would fall and it always crushed it!

Have you ever built a house from the ground up? (We have, several in fact. Not contractors and builders, us alone!)

Yeah, unfortunately, my ex did sub-contracting work, mainly framing.  I will never, ever, ever build a house or hire one built.  Either I will buy an existing structure as is, buy and modify a little bit, but never build.  What an ordeal.  I can see why lots of people get divorced over building a house.
Plus I've seen what friends building houses go through.  Nope.  I don't want the headache.

Have you ever owned your own business?

In the sense of owning physical plant, like a factory or restaurant building, no. In the sense of being in business for myself, yes. I was a large-scale newspaper delivery contractor back in the 1980s. When people still read newspapers, though CNN was gaining ground.

Have you ever looked into a franchise? Tread with great care. Don't buy one till you've worked in one owned by a franchisee who doesn't know you're considering buying one.

I have.  After I investigated, I changed my mind really quickly.  I honestly saw nothing positive about it, I guess because I care too much about what service/product I would put my name behind.  And the expense on most didn't seem recoverable, the ROI just wasn't there, not until it had operated for many years, and there were too many other variables that would come into play over a time period with the location I had available to me (decline in neighborhood and re-routing of major highway planned).  It would take a LOT of salesmanship to convince me after everything I learned.  I was looking into a fast-food chain franchise.

Have you ever sold a craft hobby product or artwork online?  I haven't so far, but am considering it, I've only sold face to face.

No.  Like you I've sold some stuff face to face.

I once kept three cats in a two cat-only apartment.  The property manager was nice enough to look the other way.  Have you ever had more animals than you should where you live?

No.

Have you ever re-homed a pet?
Yes. I had to re-home this gorgeous Himalayan I picked up through Craigs List who turned out to be a nasty tyrant to my other cats, to the point where she crapped at them in a rage (and left it in my bed!
)

Ever have to do an emergency rescue on an abused critter? I have a couple times.

Not for an abused animal, but I have for abandoned, found in bad condition without tags, and other things like that.

Have you cared for a cat with severe diarrhea? I did for a brand new mom and her babies. It was not my favorite fostering experience for sure.

No, but I could think of worse like Fun Surgery.

Fun Surgery is where the outcome is nasty. Or the surgery. Or both.

Experiences? Anyone?

I'm not sure what the question is @DoomsDave but I'm going with bad surgery... I was operated on three times to get a bit of wood out of my leg.  They kept taking out lumps of scar tissue and saying they had it.

I love a good silent retreat.. yoga or otherwise.  How about you?
