Oops sorry thought I was on the ask a question thread. Rephrase: I've had birds and snakes as pets. Have you had pets other than cats?

Yes.  Dogs, parakeets, and a rabbit.  Also fish of many kinds and hermit crabs.  As a child, my family also had two parrots.

When I was a kid, I was reasonably skilled on a pogo stick.  Have you ever jumped on a pogo stick?

Dear lord, no, I'd kill myself for sure.

How about a trampoline? Has anybody ever jumped on a trampoline?

Yes.  We drove to the top of Mt. Washington.  It was a rare clear day and the view was beautiful.

Has anyone used a Bongo Board?  That's a two foot board with a cylinder that you balance on.  It looks like this.

I have.

No. I have a hard enough time keeping my balance on solid ground

Have you ever been  parasailing?

Yes .  Once, as a kid, I had the mumps the entire time and was quarantined to my cabin so had exactly zero fun and saw exactly zero interesting sights.  Plus the ship's doctor was prickly and grumpy and caught me sneaking out.

I used to love climbing trees.  Have you ever climbed a tree just for the fun of it?

As a kid, I climbed many a tree. Sometimes eavesdropped on people sitting below. Shhhh

Ever been to a nudist colony? I went to one, once, which was soliciting memberships. You could, bike ride, swim, even skeet shoot in the nude. (I can't make this up.)

No way. If they are anything like nude beaches, it's usually people who SHOULD cover up who go there. The swimsuit models and bodybuilders are generally nowhere to be found. I think a lot of those places offer volleyball too. too many parts flying around for my taste.

have you ever encountered an alligator in the wild?

Yes!  Was walking in a park in Louisiana.  Walked right past it and kept going haha

Have you ever shot a shotgun?  We enjoy shooting on a regular basis, I own many, used to skeet shoot a lot more than what we do now.

Yes I have used a crossbow for target shooting and have used a "boffer" crossbow which doesn't shoot as hard with foam-tipped bolts in a game.

I have been on a zip line. Have you?

I haven't! Definitely due for one in the future.

I volunteered at a food bank and a therapeutic equestrian program for a while. Have you volunteered for anything?

I'm the treasurer for a garden club, the Palm Society of Southern California. I've also worked in Legal Aid as an intern.

I used to be the president of that garden club; have you ever been president of anything?

I was the president of my household until Lilith and Sophie moved in, Lilith is now president, Sophie is her VP and I have been demoted to secretary of treats, meals and box scooping.

Do you regularly donate to any charity?

No, but I do give to people in the community quite often.  Often anonymously.  I've sent quite a bit to folks on here with special needs.

If you give to a person in need or a cause, do you do so anonymously or no?

I give to charities, but don't do so anonymously.

I once, in agony, climbed Clingman's Dome in the Great Smoky Mountains. It's over 6,600 feet high and the third highest mountain east of the Rockies. Have you ever climbed a mountain higher than 6,000 feet?
