Beautiful pictures! And, oh my goodness, you have a Tacky White Tree! (And I mean that in the best way possible! I love TWTs!) Awesome!

I love your snowmen. And your candle. I'm going to do that with red, green, and gold balls. How pretty it is.

And Sammy! Queen of the house! Her first Christmas with you! Wonderful pictures!

Lol! Thanks! Yes, about 3 years ago, I got new furniture, so I wanted to coordinate my tree.
I just couldn't see putting up the regular green one with the red, gold, etc.. that I'd had for years.
It would clash, & we can't have that! [emoji]128516[/emoji] Hahahaha! It was time to change it up anyway.
I'd love to also one day find an old aluminum tree! [emoji]128513[/emoji]
Yes, Sammy's first Christmas here. I am so proud at what a good girl she's been. She really couldn't care less about the tree, & pays it no mind.

Gosh, I love looking at photos. Especially of people's houses. Pam, are you saying that the desk & cabinet are a single piece of furniture? I've never heard of that. Amazing it belonged to Rick's paternal grandmother. (Too lazy to figure out what time period that would be.) I have the exact same small aloe plant next to my kitchen window. Love your kitchen window too. Easy to clean in one piece. I meant to ask you before: does Jackie never disturb you at night? You've posted how "dramatic" she can be so I am very surprised that she is in the bedroom with you at night.

Angels mommy, I am always amazed how you do so much with very little. Your place is so pretty & cozy. Though you have a lot of worries, you are still able to make yourself a nice home. (Not everyone can do that.)

@Primula  ,  Thank you. Well, I do like to decorate, but  I'm also making up for last year. Last year, I didn't do much at all. No tree. Angel was going through chemo, so I didn't want to stress him out, & the fact that I just wasn't up for it after going through all of that with him.

As far as anything else that has happened since this fall, nothing more has been said, so I am not saying anything either. I don't want to dwell on it, & manifest the worst.  I am only manifesting positive energy, & Sammy isn't going anywhere!

Here's a cake I made today, for Christmas dessert.
I found a homemade caramel, sea salt icing recepie on Pinterest, so I made it yesterday. Today, I made a chocolate fudge (box mix) 3 layer cake, to put it on! I borrowed my mom's 9" cake pans, instead of the regular 8" ones.
I decorated it w/ pecans! [emoji]128522[/emoji]
I used 2 boxes to get the 3 layers, plus 9 cup cakes.
It's really good!

Pam, your home looks so warm and cozy.
Just love your tree and decorations.
I love those cat throw pillows sitting on your chair! Simply beautiful!
Oh, Jackie looks so contented laying there.

Kelly, your home looks beautiful, as always, so warm and inviting.
Love your white tree, very festive.
Of course, Sammy looks just perfect.
She makes your home complete!

Now, let me see if I can post some Christmas pictures.
Sometimes, I have problems posting pictures lately.
Either they don't post at all, or they double post.
We will see.

Primula, yes the desk and the cabinet are one. I'll take a picture of it after Christmas, when things get back to normal. It belonged to Rick's maternal grandmother, a wonderful woman. She was such a sweetheart and I don't think I ever heard a bad thought come out of her mouth. Such a peach. She died back in 1971 at the age of 97. I never met a woman who smiled as much as she did. When Rick introduced me to her and told that I was pregnant and we were to be married, she was so excited and she gave me the biggest hug she could. I loved her from the first second.

The aloe plant was Rick's mom's at their house. His sister was going to throw it away, so I took it. I also took his mom's pink geranium that was going to be thrown out. The geranium is about seven years old; she got it one year for Mother's Day. She kept it all that time. It bloomed beautifully this year on our front porch and now it's living in the basement in the window for the winter. I give it a scant amount of water about every two weeks to keep it fairly dormant.

As for The Beast, well, yeah, she sleeps in the bedroom with us at night. Rick brings her bed back, flops it on the floor next to the elliptical and Jackie flops right down. She has done that ever since the second night she's been here. We tried to keep her in the living room, but she came back and flopped on the bare floor....and that's not right for a dog. A dog needs her bed. So that's how we do it. She snores and she dreams and, boy, can she fart. But we deal. Sometimes her snoring will awaken me at night, but for the most part, she's pretty quiet. (The ONLY time that dog is really spastic is when we come home. When people come in to the house, she's excited to see them, but that's dog behavior. That's what they do.)

Gorgeous decorating, LovingMickey! And I love that your cats take part in the decorating spirit! (They are so pretty....and they both look like they know how pretty they are) I love your trees. Those kitties in the first picture are adorable! Great job!

Kelly, I want a (large!) piece of that cake
. You had me at the caramel sea salt icing. I swear. And on chocolate. Be still, my heart. That's one fine cake.

What a Christmassy house, @Loving Mickey  !   I love all the trees - each one unique and beautiful.   And of course, the kitties in their Christmas outfits are completely adorable.

@Loving Mickey  , I love all of your little kitty santas, so cute!  The kitties look like they are content in their Christmas outfit, & felt tree?

@Winchester  , Thanks Pam, I feel the same way about caramel & chocolate!!

The recipe was easy, it was just one cup of unsalted butter, 3/4 cups of caramel sauce, & 3-4 cups confectionery sugar, & 1/2 tsp. of sea salt.

Mix softened butter & caramel sauce together,  then mix in one cup of the confectionery sugar one cup at a time, until you get desired thickness.

I doubled the recipe, to have enough for in between the layers, & to frost the cake. It mad a big mixing bowl full!!  I also only ended up only using about 3-4 cups of the confectionery sugar,

even though I doubled the recipe. It was thick enough w/ that many.

I found my aloe plant in the garbage! Someone had thrown it out so I took it home.
