I have been using Logic toothpaste on my three cats but they dont like the malt taste. This week I bought CET poultry flavour however I am not happy with some of the ingredients such as sorbitol and titanium dioxide. Does anyone use it or have any opinions on it.....what cat toothpaste do you use ....are there any other poultry toothpastes out ther other then CET.

I live in the UK so might not have the range other countries have.

Thanks in anticipation.

My cats love CET toothpaste
I don't think you'll find a any pet toothpaste that doesn't contain chemicals and enzymes
A small amount of pet toothpaste isn't going to cause long term harm, IMO. You could skip toothpaste entirely and just use a toothbrush to clean along the gum line. The scrubbing action of the brush is what cleans plaque and food particles from the teeth, not really the toothpaste.

ZooPlus might have other brands of pet toothpastes. @Columbine may know of some as well.

Thanks LTS3 LTS3 . One of my cats has gingivitus. Had it since she was 5 months old so she won't let me brush her teeth. I just let them lick the toothpaste off my finger. Not as good as brushing but Logic say it is still sufficient. Why is life so complicated.[emoji]128520[/emoji]

I'm so thankful you posted about toothpaste.  We brought our cat into the vet for his annual exam this week and she showed us where he had inflammation on the lower back teeth.  She recommended brushing with CET toothpaste but I've actually been having trouble finding a pet store that carries it and wondered if there are some other equally good brands.  Like you I was worried he wouldn't let me brush his teeth and she advised using a q-tip, (cotton swab).  Best of luck with your kitty's gingivitis.

Chain pet stores don't sell CET products. Look for them at independent pet stores or online like Amazon. Some Amazon sellers sell the products at a ridiculous marked up price so be sure to check out other sellers that have the same product. A single tube of toothpaste doesn't cost more than $11 if bought in a store or from the vet but some sellers sell it for like $20+.

Other brands of pet toothpaste will work just as well. CET is just a popular brand that many vets use and recommend.

The Qtip is a good idea. I know that with Logic, they claim that it still works if they lick it off your finger. I had both CET and Logic off the internet but some of the pet stores will order it in if you ask them( at an inflated cost).
