Had to give Freya a bath tonight

Somehow, someway, Freya the indoor kitty got fleas. We took her to the vet who confirmed she has or had fleas, as she couldn't see any so she did not have an infestation but she did make some flea dirt bleed. Brought her home and washed her in dawn. She was so upset, and wasn't the only one who got a bath. Only I got the added benefits of claws and blood. So now she's moping, but she never stays mad for long.

I've only given a cat a bath once in my life and to be honest I'd rather not do it again. It wasn't fun for either of us.

Same here.  It was over 20 years ago and I still remember it, who would guess that such a small kitten could put up such a fight.  

I was still a teen when my previous cat got fleas, and I convinced my mother to bathe her instead of me.  To this day, my mother claims that for the res of her long life, my cat never forgave her for that affront.
