Do I need to be concerned about my kitty biting holes into a sample toothpaste tube? There was no paste oozing out, but there were several punctures. She probably just got a taste. She is behaving and eating and eliminating normally. The wounded tube is in the garbage.

I would put it up in the medicine chest if I were you. Or stick it in a drawer. I know on my toothpaste tube is does say in really small print, harmful if swallowed! Go figure? Or maybe try putting it in a ziplock baggie and see if that stops the attraction.

As lovely as it would be to brush your pet's mouth with human toothpaste, (just imagine that fresh minty breath after each meal!), it's a VERY VERY bad idea.

Human toothpaste is toxic to cats and dogs. Keep it well out of their reach, especially inquisitive cats and kittens that have a tendency to chew on things or hoarding things.

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
It has to be the mint that attracts them. I have to zip my bag up because Rosie has stole chewing gum out my bag several times. She never ate it, but bit through the packet!.

Thanks very much. I will keep the toothpaste in the cabinet out of reach of my little sweetie.
