Not sure if this is the right place to post but was wondering if anyone is getting their pets a Christmas gift and if so what are you thinking of getting them? I was thinking of getting Abra a 2nd scratching post as she loves hers so much. Even though she has no idea its Christmas [emoji]128516[/emoji]

I always do gifts for the cats (and dogs too :D ). Usually just little things though, like toys and treats. This year the cats are getting some treats and a new cardboard scratcher (and maybe some toys if I make them in time).

You can never have too many scratching posts!

I got my kitties a Furminator brush (they are all medium and long haired and they shed A LOT). I tried it out on Tesla (my avatar kitty) and he didn't seem to mind it in the least.

I also got them some Pure Bites treats. And I'll probably get them a few more toys too. :)

Thanks for the quick replies I am glad I am not the only one. Thats a good idea on some little things and the practical gift of the furminator is a good move. My husband just shook his head when we were going through who we needed to buy for and I put Abra on our list [emoji]128512[/emoji]

I not only get my pet(s) gifts, I also give them to my daughter for her dog and my favorite neighbor for her dog.  I also celebrate their Gotcha Day!

Yep, I went shopping for Comet and Comet is giving a gift to my daughter. I got comet a Christmas lazer pointer that you can change the shapes on and a 6 pack of catnip filled fishies. Along with the usual bag of cat treats.

Yes, my fur babies, and feathered friends get gifts.  When the kids were little, the furry and feathered members of our family would likewise get my children a gift.  The kids thought it was so much fun to watch the pets tear into their presents... When I would have to chase one of the pets out of the tree I would tease them about them not getting a gift if they couldn't wait until Christmas and it made my kids help keep the pets out of the tree.  Sigh, but now they are grown.  This year we got them new scratching post (my daughter is planning on getting them a new tower but don't know if that's for sure or not, usually we don't go that extravagant).  They got a new crinkle sack, some laser fingertip toy thingys, a motion activated motion toy and some catnip treats.

Of course we get them gifts. Although it's us shopping the Christmas sales for things they need. PetSmart had the rectangle cardboard scratchers for 6.99. I'm not picky that they have red and green stripes. Beds New bowls.

We also stock up on the peanut seed cakes that become scarce in the summer. A birdfeeder set up outside for your feathered friends is cat cable TV. Oh and all the boxes that anything came int. Cat Forts!

I always get my cats presents, for Christmas, and for their birthdays.

They have a cardboard box that the pouches of wet food came in, that I put a pouch each of turkey flavoured cat food, a new collar each and some cat toys-balls with bells in and catnip mice. I also got them one of those track things with the little ball in. Both are wrapped up, from Santa Paws.

Ditto, same here, we always got the kids a gift from our pets when they were young.  Now that they are grown when I sign their card I always include our pet(s) name with a paw print.

I like the idea of gifts from your pets to kids mine boys are to old to care now but I could add my cats name to their card like Neely does. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and New Year it has been nice getting to know everyone on TCS.

Awww, so cute - Makena and Lilia look all tuckered out from a morning of playing with their stockings.
