Psycho already eats 2 wet meals a day but likes a little kibble too. He has been getting Origen Regional Red for 2 years and loves it but now I can t get the Canadian Formula. I ve read a lot of negative things about the new USA formula so trying to find a better food.
I came upon Young Again Mature Psycho is 9 . I gave him a sample and he liked it but then he seemed uninterested. Does anyone have any ideas for transitioning? I have enough Origen for a couple of months so I can go slowly if necessary. Any input would be welcome. Thank you.

I don't feed kibble, but when I did i fed Orijen. I think despite their changes they are still probably the best kibble. The RR seems to have less "bad" changes than the cat & kitten, and when you compare RR to that Young Again Orijen is leaps and bounds better. That Young Again kibble is garbage.

If you're in the US Chewy is still selling 5lbs bags of the old Canadian formula.

Thank you missmimz. Psycho either will eat a food or he will not . When I first fed him Orijen after getting him off prescription food he dove right on. I have tried dozens of wet food brands and he ll either it it or walk away. I need to listen to him. I ll try the USA RRvwhen it comes out and see how he likes it. I ll be sending thevYA back.

Often times you just have to "teach" your kibble addicted cat how to recognize wet or raw food as food. I transitioned a 12 year old kibble addict. so anything is possible.

I wouldn't say Psycho is a kibble addict because he always eats his wet food about 3 oz a day but sometimes doesn t finish the kibble I leave out. He eats between 2-4 Tbs of kibble each day.
