Well, it seems that the 2 month course of Marbofloxacin prescribed for the possible infection that my cat had, has potentially worked. Previous thread I posted on here a while back was about the ongoing enlarged lymph nodes that my cat was experiencing and stumping the DVM. So it looks like, crossing my fingers, that all is well. He has been off for about 3.5 weeks and his lymph nodes are no longer enlarged.

HOWEVER... it seems he has lethargy. He eats, and uses the bathroom good - no issues, but sleeps quite a bit which has me concerned. He no longer plays like he used to, though he is around 13 years old at he moment.

I started giving him probiotics, and a feline multivitamin for adult cats on a daily basis.

I contacted the vet and she said give it some time. Basically, does this sound like "normal" behavior after a cat has been on a strong antibiotic for a couple of months? Thank you!

Did you notice these same symptoms while he was on the antibiotic or has this started since he's stopped taking the antibiotic?  We had our kitty on Zenequin for about 2 months several years ago, but I don't recall these side effects.  It could be that the meds just need to have time to completely clear his system.

He exhibited slight traits of the symptoms while on. However, now that he is completely off, the degree has noticeably increased. If he is having side effects, I wonder how long it takes to clear? I have a vet apt on Monday, hate to keep spending money... oh, well. I hope he does not have some type of permanent damage?
