Hello, I am looking for a few good books on cat behaviour. My knowledge really only extends to observation, watching My Cat From Hell and The Encyclopedia of the Cat by Bruce Fogle.

I am keen to get a few in-depth (rather than coffee table illustrated) books that go a bit further into the feline mind and their perception of the world. Also any books that maybe look a bit about the history of cats and humans through history and domestication. Feel free to recommend a few!

There seem to be a ton of books out there so I thought I would ask here first as this seems like a knowledgable forum!

Thanks

Cat Sense by John Bradshaw

Books not specifically about cats but heavy on cats

Purrs of Wisdom: Conscious Living, Feline Style by Ingrid King

Any book by Tom Cox. English writer who writes heavily about living with his many cats.  Very funny and poetic reads. Everything always seems to come back to a cat story.  "Close Encounters of the Furred Kind" is his latest. His earlier books not available on Kindle, sadly for me.  He is the epitome of "cat guy".

This is an old thread, but I am also wondering if there are any good books about cat behavior or training. I have been socializing feral kittens and semi feral cats and I have my own fur babies as well. Any good books on cat behavior or training?

I found this when I googled:
