I am new to rgis site as I adopted a 4 mongh old kitten in the past month. Twice now I have got up in the morning to find a wet spot on my rug with a light pink/red tint to it. No smell and no food particles. Just a clear liquid. Joey is eating, pooping, peeing and playing normal and is growing like a weed. What are your thoughts? I wondered if it was after he drinks a lot of water and spits it up only the small pink/red color along with a spot of clear baffles me. Help!

Pink tinged wet spots are usually urine and blood.  I realize there was no urine smell but Joey should see a vet as soon as possible, just in case.  When cats have a urinary tract issue, the pain often causes them to avoid their litter box, hence the wet spot.  You should clean the spots up with an enzyme based cleanser, just in case it is urine.  It's necessary to break down the urine molecules as otherwise your kitten will still be able to smell it (even if you can't) and will return to the spot.

Congratulations on adopting Joey, btw. I hope you have many happy years together!

It is very odd since there is no smell or urine like color. In fact half the spot can be clear like water and the other the pink like color. We have had in for 5 weeks and has only done it twice. Using his litter fine too.

That is pretty strange.  If it was a urinary problem, he would probably be avoiding the litter box more than that. Also, the urine in the box would be pink as well.  And yes, usually cat urine does smell. (Oh,boy does it ever!)  I'd suspect he was getting into something stored under the sink but usually that kind of thing causes more extreme symptoms.  The reason I question whether it's water-associated vomit is because most vomit contains vestiges of food.  When it doesn't, bile is present.  Blood does sometimes occur in vomit when the esophagus is irritated, so if this is vomit, that could explain the pink tinge.

If you haven't taken Joey to the vet yet, you should make an appointment for a well visit anyway so he can get a thorough exam  and you can discuss this, as well as things like neutering, shots and flea and worm treatments (if necessary).   If he has had his initial well visit, I think you could probably wait a bit for a vet appointment and just keep a close eye on Joey.  If you have access to a black light, you can check for urine, since urine glows at those wavelengths.  Also, double check to make sure your house is kitten proofed.  Four month old kittens can (and will) get into everything.  And if it continues to happen, or if you notice Joey straining in the litter box or leaving behind pink-tinged urine, be sure to get him to the vet right away.

Please let us know what happens!
