Geriatric cats with Teeth loss

To those who have dealt with geriatric cats, at what age did they start losing their teeth? Did their appetite decrease because of tooth pain? Did the teeth naturally fall off or the vet had to extract all of them? It will be great to hear your experience. [emoji]128524[/emoji]

Older cats don't lose their teeth. Often times from lack of dental care they'll need extractions, but their teeth should never "fall out." Seniors should have a vet visit at minimum twice a year, your vet should look over your cats teeth and tell you whether or not he would benefit from dental or some extractions. 

Hmm I always thought they did as they age same with humans as more plaque build up, they start to lose their teeth and it is inevitable
