Hi there. My baby boy ( he's 6) has some issues with his skin, constantly dirty gooey ears vomiting after he eats so the vet prescribed Prednisolone.

They're 15 pills in the tube and for 7 days I had to give him one pill a day with food and after 7 days to decress to 1/2 a pill a day.

The problem is I won't be home for diner for a few days a week from now on and I can't trust my husband to take care of it.

So I am asking if I can give him his half a steroid at lunch, basically 18 hours later instead of dinner, 24 hrs later Is that going to affect him? Is it okay? Is it going to hurt him? The instruction on the bottle didn't specify every 24 hours it just said ONCE A DAY.

I might sound stupid but tomorrow I have to give him his pill at 12 PM. ( normally he takes it at 4 or 6 PM):heart3:

It is best to give every 24 hours and in the evening is also best.  We all have to do what we are able to do however.  My kitty is also on Prednisolone and has been for 6 years.  I have occasionally had to switch up when he gets his medication and he was fine.
