Does your cat go outside in the sun?

Could he have injured his nose, in any way?

Any snoring, or breathing funny?

Can you take a warm, damp cloth and apply it to the nose? To see if any substance/blood/brown spots are removed from it?

Thank you for the reply! he's strictly and inside cat. He purrs heavily but nothing abnormal there. I have tried a damp cloth it does not look like anything is coming out. The foster care provider I got him from suggested it could be a food allergy? I just started feeding him wet food with fish in it this week and he said that could be a cause. Has a food allergy been associated with these symptoms though?

It doesn't look like a food allergy to me, but there are a LOT of skin issues, and many look very similar.  A vet is the only person qualified to diagnose this and while it may be benign, i would have it looked at.

I agree with @StephenQ.

It could be something simple and benign, but only a Vet would be able to diagnose it properly.

Not to mention, that because the changes have been happening over the past 2.5 weeks, it is really better to have it checked out by a Vet sooner, if any treatment is needed.

Also, if you are using plastic food dishes, it would be better to switch to stainless steel, in case of allergies to plastic or bacteria that may remain in scratches in plastic.

Can you update us, afterwards, when you find anything out from your vet.

The original person who posted this has not been active since 2016. So I don't think you will vet a response. You can try to make your own post and see if anyone knows what it may be caused from.
