Willowy, we don't ask a question until we have an answer to the previous question.

To answer yours - ball python.

The tea cake I was thinking about was the Madeleines that Marcel Proust remembered in Remembrance of Things Past.

Barbers used to double as doctors.  The red stands for blood and the white for bandages.   Leeches were not portrayed.

Technically that is correct. Christopher is Carmela's nephew. Tommy is the son of Tony's sister Barbara and her husband Tom.
Yes, but I was referring (in my mind) to Chris who Tony always referred to as his nephew. Note that I didn't mention Tony's two sisters in my question. In any event, Chris was Carmela's cousin & a distant cousin of Tony.

It means the letterbox was erected during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II (from 1952 to present.)

Ah, the E stands for Elizabeth and the R stands for Regina (Queen in Latin.)   ER can also stand for Edward and Rex (King) but the II means it's Queen Elizabeth II.

Very good. When Charles is king, he will be CR.

Looks like there have been 12 doctors. Lordy, I remember the 1st episodes as a child in England.

Yes, a clue would be most welcome!   The only novels I can find were written by English authors.

The title  of William Faulkner's novel The Sound and the Fury was based on a speech by Macbeth in Macbeth.   (Thanks. That was a good hint.)

What popular  African mammal was placed on the "threatened list" this month?
