Hi,

So my previous post about my cat being diagnosed with lumbosacral disease has shown up this kidney issue.

We had the blood work done and they said that he was a very healthy cat. Which is the only reason that I agreed to giving him metacam for the lumbosacral disease.

Another test has come through as I called for the results today. My vet isn't there and I will speak to him on Sunday but the receptionist spoke to another vet and said that the results have shown that he is in the 1st stages of kidney disease. I will get those results on Sunday but these are the blood work results that were taken that I have results for so far. If anyone understands them and can advise, I'd be very, very grateful.

I've stopped the metacam and he is okay, eating, interested in going outside and moving about. I'm too scared to risk giving metacam to him until I know more. I don't know if I'm lucky in a way that the lumbosacral thing happened for us to test and then find the early stage kidney disease before it's too late.

He isn't showing any of the signs of it though. I'm just really worried and I have to wait until Sunday to speak to vet. Think maybe a second opinion would be good.

I'm sorry to bother anyone who reads or can help or advise me. I know we all love our kitties. I don't have children and Al has always been my baby, he's only 10 and up until now he has always been a really healthy and happy cat.

Thank you if anyone can advise.
