Good morning!
 And Happy Friday!
I'm ready for the weekend, although I know those two days will go by in a blink.

My sister stopped in last night with a 3-pound bag of assorted Hershey's kisses for us. She had been down at Hershey for a conference and she had to go into Hershey's store and then she just happened to see the bags of kisses. And then she said she got a text from Harley (her youngest fur-son) and that said, "Hey, Meowmie. Why don't u get Auntie Pam and Uncle Rick a bag of kisses? You can say it's from their fur-nieces and fur-nephews!" So she did!
I told her she's been hanging around us too long with the crazy kitty stories. We take care of their cats when they're out of town on weekends and she wanted to thank us. And that was so nice of her...excuse me, them.
Rick came home from bowling, saw the bag, and immediately got the scissors out and tore the bag open. And we munched a bit last night.

But my question this morning really has nothing to do with chocolate. Actually I'm wondering: Did you -- or will you -- do most of your Christmas shopping in brick-&-mortar stores or online?

For the past few years, most of our Christmas shopping has been done online. It's easier and faster to get on the computer, order items, and have them delivered to my work. We did get a few things in stores, mostly in local stores this year, trying to keep local businesses in business. Most of my shopping was definitely done online and mostly through Amazon Prime.

What about you?

I'm going to go with 60/40 with online winning, although the online percentage may be a little higher.

Everyone except pets is grown up so I buy gift cards, that way they can pick out what they want from their favorite store or on-line, and I don't have to hear any complaints, lol.

I work 55 to 60 hours in two retail jobs,
so I hate to say most of my shopping (I am only able to do a little this year) will be online.  Probably 90%.  Although my job security rests on in-store shoppers,
I must admit I have a small fascination
with shopping on-line, because I collect on ebay year-round.  I bid on two 1940's baseball news publications for my nephew and won them, so I think he will get a kick out of them, he is a sports enthusiast.

I also purchased some beautiful cat holiday cards
on ebay which arrived yesterday.  They are so pretty.  I suffered a bad bout of depression since the summer and just want to keep things on a small scale.  I always look for cat holiday cards every year and these that arrived are making me very happy!
I happened to come upon them from looking at the cat cards that are shown here at TCS and my search led me to these cards.  It is a card of a mother cat at the top of a pretty, snowy staircase watching her cute little kittens come into the house followed by a cute hedgehog!

I work in a store where there are many cat-loving co-workers, so I have been collecting cat-themed ACEOs on ebay to enclose in their cards.  They are miniature artwork 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches I believe that artists present on ebay to expose their work.  I collect the cat ACEO's.  Some very talented artists.

Happy Holidays to all on TCS!

Both! I'd say about even - some stuff I can't get locally I buy online (And the convenience is an added bonus)  other times I do favour supporting small local businesses and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere. And sometimes you can only get stuff locally that you can't buy online, like certain handmade goods.

I do almost all my shopping online.
The neighbors always know when I'm doing my holiday shopping--the FedEx, UPS and USPS trucks are coming and going.

All of my Christmas shopping is done on-line because I don't have a car and there is no public transportation near-by.  In some ways, it's tremendously convenient because the presents are sent directly to my daughters and I don't have to pay for an expensive cab ride and then deal with the lines at the post office.  However, I miss the festivities of brick-and-mortar stores and the pleasure of wrapping the presents - that's so much more personal!  Plus, I think it's important to shop there to keep on-line stores from driving brick-and-mortar stores out of business.  In other words, if I had a car, I'd do less shopping on-line.

I completely agree!  We have a designated 'Shop Small Stores' day here and I went there after Thanksgiving but only to buy gifts for me.  Ok, they weren't really gifts but I love supporting the local businesses and finding unique items.  Thanks for reminding me about this.

Marge, do you at least have Uber? I don't drive, but we have an excellent bus system with many many options.

To answer the OP, I buy 99% of stuff from Amazon. If something goes wrong, I know their customer service will be there to help.

About half and half this year.  It just depends on what my fire-fly mind settles on!

As for crazy kitty stories, I tell them so often that my neighbor and dear friend, Suzanne, mentioned the other day that she had spotted Hekitty doing her Christmas shopping at Walmart!

I have done most of my shopping online.  It's easier to compare prices and I haven't had time to shop without my kids.  The one afternoon my Mom had them (last Saturday) I spent going through old toys and things to donate or give to a friend how has an almost 1 year old.

I have bought some local made things for gifts.  I try to support some friends that are in direct sales businesses too.  Last year DH and I did some hand made things.  (For example he made a wooden doll bed for DD and I sewed a doll quilt, pillows, and sheets.)  We had a big Disney vacation just before Thanksgiving so we just haven't had time to do that again this year.  I have an old end table from my Grandparent's attic that he is going to repurpose into a lego table for DS; sort of like this one: .  I just don't know when we will get it done.  If I can find another table like it; it would be nice to do one for DD too. Both really like their legos!
