I have a seven month kitten currently in heat. She's been yowling for hours for days, extremely affectionate, gets in the mating position constantly, and hasn't been eating. My vet says she's fine but I was wondering if there was anything I could do for her? The yowling is bothering my older cat and keeping us up. (And I had an appointment for her spaying for the 22nd the earliest I could get before she suddenly went into heat)

Not much you can do unless you can get your appointment for the 22nd moved up sooner!  You might try getting an appointment with a different vet clinic or one of the mobile vets if you have one.

Keeping your cat confined and away from male cats is number one, and spaying her asap is number 2.    It is, as I understand it, possible to er... manually stimulate a cat in heat to reduce the heat time, and that some breeders use that since cats normally have to go through heat a few times before being bred, and you could look into that, but it is probably more trouble  (and frankly a bit too weird) for most people to bother with.
