I wrote this poem for the kittens we rescued from a house fire .... and introduced them to 5 adult cats.
Y'all can take it, copy it, whatever.
It's yours.
KITTEN INVASION
When kittens invade the house goes nuts
You think to rehome but there's no going back
We cower and shake at the thundering herd
Waiting and watching for the next leg attack
They eat like zombies and run like panthers
Surfing along the hardwood floor
Pouncing wildly upon the curtains
Finally collapsing at the front door
They squawk and hiss and fuss and swat
At 4am they run and yowl
We throw dog toys and yell, "Shut up!"
At 6am they set up a howl
By 7pm they're sound asleep
Curled up and looking so sweet too
I yell, "BWAAAHH!!" and watch em scatter
"If I can't sleep, neither can YOU!"
