Would they eat staples from a cat tree

Hi, a while back my mom got me a cat tree that was made by a craftsman selling them in a parking lot... today I found a staple on the floor beneath it. I felt around in the corners of the carpet house and there was another staple like it that was so loose I accidentally pulled it out...

They seem to be behaving normal... playing, purring, I don't think the purring is excessive.... What should I do??

Some cats will eat anything they find lying on the floor edible or not For your cat's safetly, remove any loose staples that you can find and regularily check the tree for any more that may come loose through normal wear and tear.
