so around an hour ago my baby started going nutty at the window. A kitty iv never seen before was in the garden looking back at him. He's a very large cat i would say a male because he's huge. I grabbed a bag of treats as he was routing in my bins and dropped some out of the window. he came for them. I popped a bowl with some food in on the door step he hid but came out and ate it all. So i put him some cat lick things out which my cat hates but all of a sudden likes because im giving them to another cat. When i popped them outside i noticed blood all over the other cats face. He's obviously starving and iv never seen him around here before so what do i do? he won't come near me and runs and hides when ever i go out. My own animals love me but i seem to put an aura out to unknown animals to stay away from me lol should i keep an eye on this guy over the next few days or try gain his trust today and take him somewhere?

If you want to take him to a vet, try and take him into a humane trap.  Dont wait with gaining trust or such.

Observe, you cant take him to a common shelter.  Most will pts him, even if they dont say it to you.  He is ferale, and he is injured...  Its only rescue groups and shelters whom DO work with ferales, which may admit him.

BUT what common shelter perhaps may help you with, is help with vet contact - perhaps even paying.   And if you volunteer as the caretaker IN YOUR HOME under their umbrella, they may accept they help you with vet costs, if you take care of him.

The positive side of this is, if you take care of him when he is wounded and need help, the Window of easy socialization opens up again.   So he will almost surely become quickly adapted to you.   (be sure you do have him in quarantine the first time, away from your residents).

If you cant, the low budget alternative is apparently to continue what you do: give him food...   Ferales have usually excellent healing meat, so with a good food source, he will probably manage, even if he is were badly hurt.

Tx for caring!
