I never know how to introduce myself.  I'm Brandie though most online people know me as "Sway" and even some IRL friends.

I'm 34 I have 3 kids.  A 17 year old with Autism and then a pair of 4 year old twin girls.  We have Two cats and two dogs.  I'm a stay at home mom, and love every stressful minute of it!  I love football (Go Cowboys), I collect comics, I love to read and write (when I have time), I also like video games (when I have time), crafting and drawing (again.. time!), and being outside.  And of course spending time with my family.

And I hit enter somehow before I was done!

We have two cats.  A tabby (I think) female who is 8 and is my sons'.. she's a weird cat but is great for our son and his needs.  And then I have Smoke who is a gray feral I've been trying to domesticate for about 18 months now.

The first picture is Smoke when I first starting feeding her, I swear she was an older kitten, but when I got her fixed this summer they told me she was probably "middle aged" which I have no idea what that means, but as you can see in the last picture of her just a few days ago in the garage that she's easily doubled in sized!

The two middle pictures are of my son's cat "Bobbi"

So good of you to take care of that feral kitty.
How's it going with domesticating her?

Welcome to TCS.

Welcome to TCS!
Your household sounds like a very warm loving place!  Smoke and Bobbi are both very beautiful cats.  And Smoke may not be fully domesticated yet, but she clearly knows where home is!  I hope we see lots more of these guys.

Welcome to TCS :wavey:

Nice to hear that you've taken Smoke in and getting him socialized. He's a lovely cat.
Bobbi is a DSH Marbled (Classic) Tabby. He's beautiful!
This is a great site and hope when you have the time, read the many articles and threads and of course, post more of their photos ;)

Actually both the cats are girls :D

I'm actually going to be making a post soon about Smoke on the Feral board.

The funniest thing is trying to socialize her with Bobbi as we were afraid they'd get in a fight and our housecat would get her butt handed to her.

Smoke is actually VERY friendly towards Bobbi.  She comes in the house for about five-fifteen minutes at a time and will rub all over Bobbi, which annoys the hell out of Bobbi.  Bobbi will grown, hiss and run away.  Last time she smacked Smoke on the head, and then Smoke decided she was ready to go back outside!

Oops..... my eyes skipped that part that you mentioned that she's 8 years old [emoji]128519[/emoji]
Looks like it's you don't have much problems having both of them together since Smoke has been in the house and rub all over Bobbi and and the signs that show Boobi is ok with Smoke but just got somewhat irritated by the over rubbing therefore the growl, hiss and run away. And Smoke got the message. And it did not end up in a fight which is a good sign. So keep them seeing each other more often and they should be able to get along.
