Hey all, Olivia is under the weather and I can't help being worried. I have a vet appointment set up for tomorrow just in case, but does this sound like a hairball to you?

Gagging with some vomit this morning, mostly just clear liquid, barely anything at all. A couple loose stools and one bit of diarrhea. Now she's sleeping on the couch, gagging every once in a while, and her fur feels a little warm but her inner ears don't (I'm assuming she feels warm from being curled up on the same couch cushion area).

I honestly never considered hairballs before but Alfie (our new rescue) has longer fur and she's been grooming him lately.

Any advice is appreciated! If I can help her without the vet appointment it would be great.

Doesn't sound like a hairball to me, but I don't have a lot of experience with hairballs. Sounds like she might've gotten into something that's upset her tummy or she has an infection. Have you changed her food recently?

Nope, she's been on the same hard food since she was a kitten and she's had the soft food that we bought before. I figured she ate something funny too but the gagging made me think hairball, especially with all the grooming lately

The gagging could also be from drainage, especially if your weather has changed recently.  Good thing you have a vet appointment for tomorrow.
