Hello to all my friends here on thecatsite. Thank you so much for the advice over the years and hope I have been helpful to others.
At this time I am writing to you all because I am the Writer/Producer for a short film called “AERIS”, which is a true story about a kitten named Aeris who died from a rare and incurable disease called FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Aeris was my kitten (as in my username) and she brought so much joy and love into my life, then so much unimaginable grief and sadness when she lost her fight to FIP.
We have now launched a KICKSTARTER in order to finish our film, spread awareness and help cats around the world as well as CURE FIP.
We are currently 44% through our Kickstarter at $7,100 out of our $16,000 goal. It's very expensive to make a movie and we need your help.
Just to give you some math inspiration - if 200 people donated only $15 each, we would hit $10,000! That would be huge for us and our fiscal sponsor, Heaven on Earth.-- Our film is being fiscally sponsored by an amazing cat rescue organization called, “Heaven On Earth Society For Animals Rescue Organization” who operate an amazing no-kill cat sanctuary in North Hollywood CA. Heaven on Earth along with Family Guy, American Dad, and The Cleveland Show creator Seth MacFarlane and sister Rachael MacFarlane teamed up and founded the Perry MacFarlane Sanctuary For Cats to pay tribute to their mother, Perry MacFarlane; a tremendous activist and supporter of animals.
Having Heaven On Earth as our sponsor allows all donations to be 100% Tax Deductible thanks to their nonprofit 501(c)(3) status. We will also be donating all proceeds made by the film to Heaven on Earth.
Our all star cast: Frank Deal (NETFLIX Original Series Gypsy, Non-Stop, The Bay, Law & Order, Conviction, Gotham) Betsy Aidem Drama Desk and Obie Award winner (Broadways All the Way, The Americans, Margaret, The Irrational Man) Paul Castro Jr. (The Skeleton Twins, People Places Things, Limitless, Blue Bloods) and Arabella Oz (Hunter's Cove, When the Starlight Ends) and myself Aly Miller (By the Dashboard Light).

This movie is one of the most important ventures I have yet to embark on in my life and career. It means so much to myself and the rest of our team because this is a real and personal story that we knew we had to share. With this movie we hope to be a voice for not just the cat community, but to all animal owners struggling with their pets' health challenges and anyone who has had to say goodbye to a companion and a friend.
