Hello,
My 12 year old cat, Lucy, is having some tummy troubles. For the last month, she will sporadically have a day of diarrhea. I've tried narrowing it down and everytime once I think it is OK, she winds up having another case of it.
I've been feeding her boiled chicken and rice. This week, she had 2 bouts of diarrhea. When she has this, she goes outside of the litter box (which although not a lot of fun, at least lets me know something is up!). These last 2 times I've noticed hair mixed in with the diarrhea. She had been wheezing this week like she had a furball. I'm hoping to get her into the vet this week, but she gets so upset when we go I'm trying to do what I can to do help her.
Does anyone have any ideas if having a bad furball could be causing this? Any suggestions on things I can feed her to be sure she is getting enough food/water in her system? Or any tips in general? She is still acting the same and I do see her drinking water and she eats her special chicken/rice mixture with me twice a day. I'm just worried so any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you!
